Pakistan ist erneut von mehreren Anschlägen erschüttert worden. Bei einem Bombenanschlag im Nordwesten Pakistans sind zehn Menschen getötet worden, darunter vier Kinder.

Der am Straßenrand versteckte Sprengsatz detonierte nach Behördenangaben in der Region Dir, als ein Fahrzeug mit Gefangenen vorbeifuhr. Unter den Toten waren demnach zwei Polizisten und vier Häftlinge, zehn Menschen erlitten Verletzungen.
Bei der Detonation einer Bombe in der pakistanischen Hauptstadt Islamabad wurden mehrere Menschen verletzt. Offenbar habe ein Selbstmordattentäter ein Gebäude der Anti-Terror-Polizei mit einem mit Sprengstoff beladenen Wagen gerammt, sagte ein Beamter.
Der Anschlag soll auf dem Gelände Polizeipräsidiums verübt worden sein. In dem Komplex sind mehrere tausend Polizisten stationiert. Zum Zeitpunkt des Anschlags sollen sich im Hauptgebäude auf dem Polizeigelände nur wenige Beamte aufgehalten haben, sagte ein Polizist.
Starke Druckwelle
Nach Angaben von Polizeichef Asghar Gardaizi lieferte kurz vor der Explosion ein Mann Süßigkeiten in dem Gebäude ab. Es werde ermittelt, warum ein ziviles Fahrzeug auf das Areal der Polizeikräfte fahren durfte. Gardaizi sprach von mindestens vier Verletzten, zuvor war von neun Opfern die Rede gewesen.
Nach Medienberichten soll es sich bei dem Angriffsziel um ein von der Anti-Terror-Einheit der pakistanischen Polizei genutztes Gebäude handeln. Ein Anwohner sagte, durch die Druckwelle der Explosion seien die Fensterscheiben der umliegenden Gebäude zerstört worden. Der Vorfall werde untersucht, teilte die Polizei mit. Rettungskräfte eilten zu dem Ort der Explosion.
Der Anschlag ereignete sich, als das Parlament zu Beratungen über die Sicherheitslage in Pakistan zusammenkam. Wegen der Parlamentssitzung galten in der Hauptstadt scharfe Sicherheitsvorkehrungen.
Am 20. September wurden bei einem Selbstmordanschlag auf das Marriott-Hotel in Islamabad mehr als 50 Menschen getötet.

"Witnessed by many, including a PPP MNA and his friends, a US embassy truckload of steel boxes was unloaded and shifted inside the Marriott Hotel on Sep 16 midnight only after Mullen had met Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and others in Islamabad and had already left the country.
'Both the main gates (the entrance and the exit) of the hotel were closed while no one except the US Marines was either allowed to go near the truck or get the steel boxes unloaded or shift them inside the hotel,' The News said.
'These steel boxes were not being passed through the scanners installed at the entrance of the hotel's lobby, and were reportedly shifted to the fourth and fifth floors of the Marriott,' it added."

It was a high-security operation carried out with both the main gates of the hotel closed. Only the US Marines could approach the truck to unload the steel boxes and shift them inside the hotel.
Hotel sources said the boxes were not passed through the scanners installed at the entrance of the lobby and were shifted to the fourth and fifth floors of the Marriott.
Among several people who witnessed the whole thing were PPP parliamentarian Mumtaz Alam Gilani and his two friends, Sajjad Chaudhry, a PPP leader, and one Bashir Nadeem. The leading English language daily The News said Alam Gilani and his friends were leaving the Nadia restaurant of the Marriott at midnight when they found a white US embassy truck parked right in front of the hotels main entrance and almost a dozen well-built US Marines in fatigues unloading the steel boxes and taking them into the hotel without passing through the scanners. A third PPF friend of Gilani, who was waiting for the hotels main gates to open to get his car in, was informed on enquiry that the boxes were being shifted to the fourth and fifth floors.
Gilani was furious over having to wait and also over the security lapse he was witnessing. He protested but the Marines ignored him and the security men he approached were helpless.
Gilani was heard telling his friends that he would never visit the hotel again. He also threatened to raise the issue in parliament. www.infowars.com/?p=4732
